M is for macro

Finally when and stumped up for a dedicated macro lens, and fought the Canon "L" lust and bought a Sigma EX instead, saving a cool £700. Its a really nice piece of glass, and I'm looking forward to finding lots of weird applications for it. No bumble bees on flowers for me, I've always thought those shots were a bit of a cop out to be honest. If your taking a beautiful colourful subject, placing it on a beautiful coloured background, you haven't really created anything you?
